IFB Farm Income & Innovations Conference
Check out the presentations from the event below
It was great to see so many leaders, managers and ag professionals from across the state at the July 31 IFB International Reception/Bridge Event and the Aug. 1 Farm Income and Innovations Conference (FIIC). If you missed it, this was an exceptional event to hear from an array of outstanding speakers on trade, farm income, market prospects, changing weather and what it all means to Illinois farmers.
Approximately 150 leaders attended the Bridge Event, featuring former USDA Chief Economist and Ag Negotiator Dr. Joe Glauber. The next morning, Jim Wiesemeyer from ProFarmer kicked off FIIC with a dynamic presentation on the farm bill, trade policy and other “inside the Beltway” topics.
We were fortunate to have USDA Foreign Ag Service Administrator Ken Isley talking about trade and USDA’s priorities over lunch, followed by an exciting presentation on the weather risk by Eric Snodgrass. We wrapped up with a sobering but helpful presentation on passing down the family farm by Dr. Ron Hanson.
If you missed it, you can find the conference presentations below. And mark your calendar now for next year’s event, July 30-31, 2019.
