If you've got a special skill or a great idea to promote agriculture or Farm Bureau, the ACTION TEAMs are for you. Worried about the time commitment? These teams are still for you. In fact, they are a perfect fit…
The Illinois Farm Bureau ACTION TEAMs are made up of four teams with 10-15 volunteers on each. They meet for one day, twice a year - and turn unique ideas and experiences into a year of activities and amazing results.
There are four teams to choose from, including:
Quality of Life - If your passion is farmer health and safety, help spread the word.
Public Relations - If you're passionate about the farmer's image, here's your chance to show it.
Membership - If you see the value in your IFB membership, help others do the same.
Education - If you want to educate the adult public about agriculture, then this is the team for you. (The photo above shows a sign that this team developed to promote agriculture at local vineyards.)
Your team meets twice a year to brainstorm and develop a plan for one or two statewide projects. The IFB staff then begins its work to help make your ideas a reality. If your proposal is approved by the IFB Board, it is then set into action to produce great results.
Download the Action Teams Brochure/Application. Applications are typically due in early December.
