The "EDUCATION ACTION TEAM" will prioritize and focus on one or two significant innovative efforts that relate to educating the adult general public and target groups about agriculture.

Illinois Farm Bureau® ACTION TEAMS develop ideas that benefit members and agriculture.  Help keep these great projects going by asking members to join an ACTION TEAM. Projects have included:

This TEAM educates the adult public about agriculture!  Its most recent project is an ad placed on the curbside of buses running to and from the U of I campus.  It carries the message "Agriculture: Explore the Possibilities 1 in 4 Jobs (in Illinois)".  Previously, they distributed posters statewide with information about various commodities.  Posters with a Route 66 theme were placed at businesses along that famous highway, and similar information can be viewed at the Route 66 rest stop on I-55 south of Bloomington.  Other projects include "Spotlight on the Counties" in FarmWeek, ag photo/fact calendars, wellness fliers, screen vision ads at urban theaters, and a billboard at the Bloomington airport that read, "Farmers grow safe and healthy food for their families and YOURS!"  For two years information about specialty crops was prominently placed at wineries and orchards around Illinois. Bus Sign 030
