This Spring, residents of the Quincy area saw Illinois farmers on the airwaves, thanks to the Tri-State Regional Advertising Group. This grassroots group, made up of seven neighboring counties in the Quincy area, purchased television time on the WGEM and KHQA newscasts. The participating county Farm Bureaus contribute funds and input to this campaign. The commercials feature Illinois farmers and have one simple message - family farmers care and 94% of Illinois farms are family farmers.
Every year, IFB and 72 county Farm Bureaus team up to form Regional Advertising Groups to develop and purchase television and radio advertising that promotes agriculture to non-farmers. The advertising educates and builds better consumer understanding.
All Illinois Farm Bureau members are invited to get their creative juices going with exciting TV and radio commercials. If you would like to get involved, simply call your County Farm Bureau and ask how you can help.
