State Fair Title 11

They say there is something for everyone at the State Fair. That's escpeially true for the wide variety of events that Ilinois Farm Bureau has planned for this year's fair.

Farmers' Little Helper Interactive Exhibit - IFB will reach out to the littlest fair visitors who stop at the farmers' market in the Farmers' Little Helpers exhibit near Gate 2. IFB is co-sponsoring the farmers' market booth in the area dedicated to teaching children about farming and agriculture.

RDF Radio Broadcast - The Farm Bureau stage in the Illinois Commodities Pavilion will be the site for interviews with elected officials, fair winners, and other notable guests.

Live Music - Rest for a spell and enjoy the free, daytime musical entertainment on the Farm Bureau stage.

Young Leader's Quiz Bowl - Teams of Farm Bureau Young Leaders tested their knowledge on Ag Day. Everyone is welcome to watch... and take a break from the heat in the air-conditioned Illinois Theater.

Master Showmanship - Come and see the best of the best livestock presenters from across the state compete for the title of Master Showman on the first Friday of the fair. The event is sponsored by Illinois Farm Bureau & RFD Radio.

Sale of Champions - Again this year, IFB President Philip Nelson will present framed photographs to the top junior livestock exhibitors during the Sale of Champions. Photos will be presented to the junior champion and junior reserve champion exhibitors of the steer, barrow, wether, poultry meat trio, meat goat trio, and the meat rabbit trio.
