Applications Due December 10, 2012

You may not have a crystal ball, or the ability to determine the future of agriculture, but your special skills can create great things for agriculture.  Get involved in the ACTION TEAMs and you'll be involved in special projects that put agriculture in the forefront. You will help create a positive future for farming.

Each ACTION TEAM consists of 10-15 volunteers who - in only two days - turn unique ideas and experiences into a year of activities and amazing results. ACTION TEAMs are for both the experienced leaders and those new to Farm Bureau. Voting and Associate members are eligible. As an ACTION TEAM member, you serve a two-year term with a two-term limit on the same team (4 years total). IFB also reimburses your meeting expenses, including mileage, lodging and meals.

Do you have extra 'smarts' in one area? You can choose from four teams, including:

You can make even more of an impact as a team chair or vice chair.

Twice a year, you meet with other ACTION TEAM members from around the state to brainstorm and develop a plan for one or two statewide projects. The best part is that you share a common goal with other members of your team - to help create great things for agriculture. Even before you leave your team, the IFB staff begins the necessary work to make your ideas a reality. Your proposal is presented to the IFB Board, and, if approved, is set into action to produce results for Farm Bureau and agriculture.

According to Peggy Romba, who coordinates the ACTION TEAMs, "Great minds create great ideas. Past teams have come up with projects that are still in place today or have made a real impact. Each team brings something special to the table."

Pick up an application from your county Farm Bureau or download it here and return it by December 10. The signature of your county Farm Bureau president is required.
