YL Conf 13

Get ready to get your whiskers tickled at the Illinois Farm Bureau Young Leader Conference, January 25-26, at the Bloomington-Normal Marriott. And don't worry if you don't have any whiskers to tickle… there will be plenty to go around. The conference features cowboy poet Baxter Black, with his own super-sized mustache, plus more!

The event kicks off Friday evening with games for all ages, including bags, hillbilly golf, a bounce house and kids' corner. District meetings follow, and the evening concludes with a dance featuring "Fireside Relics."

Saturday is jam packed with the opening of the silent auction and a delicious breakfast. Dr. Jay Lehr kicks off the day with a powerful, entertaining session. He combines a deep understanding of both science and economics to describe the impact of technologies on our economy.

The afternoon is filled with insightful breakout sessions, followed by a live auction and buffet dinner. Then Baxter Black (and his mustache) hit the stage with a humorous take on the flaws and foibles of everyday life as a cowboy.

Childcare is available all day Saturday.

Contact your county Farm Bureau and tell them you're ready to get your whiskers tickled at the Illinois Farm Bureau Young Leader Conference.
