1.15.13.underIllinois Farm Bureau received the prestigious New Horizon Award at the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Annual Convention in Nashville, TN. This honor is given to a state that develops and excels in a new and innovative program.

IFB President Philip Nelson accepted the award for Illinois Farm Bureau's role in the Illinois Farm Families (IFF), a group committed to having conversations with consumers and openly sharing what really happens on today's farms. Illinois Farm Families are farmers who support Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Pork Producers, Illinois Corn Marketing Board, Illinois Soybean Association, and Illinois Beef Association.

As if that wasn't enough, IFB walked away with five additional Awards for Excellence for a year's worth of exceptional work in these program areas:

IFB wouldn't be accepting these honors if it wasn't for the dedication and commitment from members like you. Every hour volunteered… every phone call made to a legislator… every letter written to a classroom… every moment used to grow your grassroots organization was united with countless other moments to create a year of success, a year worthy of great awards!
