Residents of the Quincy area will be ringing in more than just the new year this month… they'll also start seeing Illinois farmers on the airwaves, thanks to the Tri-State Regional Advertising Group. The group, made up of seven neighboring counties in the Quincy area, purchased television time on the WGEM and KHQA newscasts. The commercials feature Illinois farmers and have one simple message - family farmers care and 94% of Illinois farms are family farmers. The ads will run now through April 21.
Every year, IFB and 77 county Farm Bureaus team up to form Regional Advertising Groups to develop new ways to connect with the public and promote agriculture. The advertising educates and builds better consumer understanding.
All Illinois Farm Bureau members are invited to get their creative juices going with exciting TV and radio commercials. If you would like to get involved, simply call your County Farm Bureau and ask how you can help.
