August has come into full swing which means back to school shopping, the Illinois State Fair, and last minute family vacations. This month is also jam-packed with food holidays and here at Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB), we love food!
Farmers work hard to grow healthy and tasty food for their family and yours. One simple way we can show our appreciation is to eat it. So, let’s celebrate August’s food holidays.
Prepare your taste buds and indulge in these foods all month because August is National Peach Month, National Brownies at Brunh Month, National Catfish Month, National Panini Month, and National Sandwich Month.
The month started off sweet with National Ice Cream Sandwich Day on the 2nd, Chocolate Chip Cookie Day on the 4th, and National S’mores Day and Banana Split Day on the 10th. Don’t worry there are plenty more sweets to celebrate coming up.
