Appreciate Farmers with a Fun Game of Baseball

BaseballinsThis night is going to be a double-play! Not only do you get to show farmers how much we appreciate their hard work, but you'll also get to watch a great game of baseball while doing it.

Mark your calendars and plan a fun family outing for Farmers Appreciation Night on August 29 at Rent One Park in Marion. The Southern Illinois Miners will take on the Normal Cornbelters. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., with a game time of 7:05 p.m.

The first 500 through the gate will receive a complimentary Farm Bureau baseball. Illinois Farm Bureau President Richard Guebert will throw out the first pitch. Ag in the Classroom Coordinators will be sponsoring “Baseball Farm Charms” for the kids; and the evening will feature Fantastic Friday Night Fireworks, one of the best fireworks displays in southern Illinois.

County Farm Bureaus involved with Southern Illinois Regional Advertising Group and the Illinois Farm Bureau are sponsoring Farmers Appreciation Night. Game tickets are available for purchase at participating county Farm Bureau offices. Be sure to watch for the Wabash Valley Ag News for additional information.

So get your tickets and grab the kids- it's time to show farmers our appreciation with some baseball fun!
