Sixty-one FFA members, 5 State FFA Officers, and two 4-H Youth Reps recently loaded a bus and headed to our nation's capital. The tour is part of the Illinois Farm Bureau & Affiliates YEA! Heritage and Cooperative program. Participants on the tour were selected from the winning FFA Chapters of the Heritage Program and CO-OP Program.
The FFA members started the week off in Gettysburg, PA and traveled to Washington, D.C. where they visited many of D.C.'s most popular monuments, memorials, and museums.
The tour concluded with a visit to the U.S. Capitol and then to Arlington National Cemetery, where members participated in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
