A three-day program from the Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) offers
an information-packed agenda for those who want to expand their
leadership roles. The Illinois Farm Bureau Leadership Academy will
be held on Monday-Wednesday, July 14-16, at the President Abraham
Lincoln Hotel, Springfield. This is the third year for the program,
which is held twice a year. The academy is open to 10-12 county
Farm Bureau leaders who have shown involvement in agriculture, Farm
Bureau, and their community.
According to Dave Stille, Training and Development, Illinois
Farm Bureau (IFB), the IFB Leadership Academy is a quality
leadership development and networking opportunity for county Farm
Bureau leaders who want to advance and expand their skills. "It's a
compact three-day program, but provides a real 'bang for your
buck.' It is intense learning packed into a powerful agenda," he

Applications will be evaluated by a panel of three judges from
each of these categories - academia, past IAA Board member, and
agri-business community. Their scores will then be forwarded
to the IAA Board's MSPR committee for the final selection.
Your investment, if chosen, is $500 - a small price to pay for
the experience and knowledge you gain from the program. Illinois
Farm Bureau covers the remainder of expenses for the academy.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 16. You will
be notified about selection by mid-May.
