Request support of State Senators for tax issues

Illinois Farm Bureau launched an action alert. Members are asked to contact their state legislators and request their support of increasing the estate tax deduction level and extending the sales tax incentives for ethanol and biodeisel. Here are 3 easy steps to make a difference:

1. Call 877-I-ACT-4-AG (877-422-8424).
2. Ask the operator to transfer you to your state senator. (Find out who they are.)
3. Ask your legislator to support increasing the estate tax deduction level and extending the sales tax incentives for ethanol and biodeisel.

These items are included in House Amendment #6 to SB 397.  The House returned to session on Monday, December 12 and considered the amendments.  The Senate is scheduled to return Tuesday, December 13, so please contact your state senator before noon Tuesday.

This is the result of weeks of negations after the unsuccessful attempt on these issues during the General Assemblies session on November 29.
