IFB Recognized for Outstanding Programs for Members

Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) works hard to provide programs and services that benefit its members and the entire farming community. This week, IFB was recognized for the outstanding efforts. American Farm Bureau Federation President Bob Stallman presented IFB President Philip Nelson with five Awards for Excellence.

The Awards for Excellence were in all five possible categories:

• Agriculture Education and Promotion
  Includes programs such as Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom, Adopt-a-Classroom, and ACTION TEAMS.

• Leadership Development
  Includes programs such as ALOT, Young Leader competitions, and FFA & 4-H education.

• Member Services
  Includes offering a variety of member-only discounts and programs such as the recruitment contest.

• Policy Implementation
  Includes programs such as FB ACT, GRITs, and ACTIVATOR.

• Public Relations and Information
  Includes programs such as Regional Advertising Groups, Illinois Farm Families, and social networking.

Being recognized for these awards is testimony to the hard work and innovative ideas of IFB's volunteer leaders and staff. These awards are the highest level of recognition a state Farm Bureau can receive.
