Your Farm Bureau's Action Priorities Set for 2012

In 2012, Illinois Farm Bureau will help farmers build new levels of trust and influence. How? By offering greater opportunities to be involved and to build beneficial relationships. As the first step to new success, the IFB Board of Directors established the Illinois Farm Bureau Action Priorities for 2012.

Illinois Farm Bureau will lead by:

  1. Actively participating in the development of the 2012 Farm Bill as well as federal tax policy, a comprehensive energy plan, infrastructure improvements, and transportation and trade issues.
  2. Building trust with consumers, lawmakers, regulators and other influencers using resources from Illinois Farm Families.
  3. Influencing state and federal governments to create a positive fiscal and business climate which includes job creation and encouraging competition in the marketplace.
  4. Advocating for a regulatory climate that is based on science and common sense and is economically feasible for agriculture and related businesses.
  5. Increasing and sustaining member engagement in issues having political and legislative impact.

Working together and staying focused on these goals, Illinois Farm Bureau members can make the future of farming bright.
