IFB Hosted Illinois Agricultural Legislative Roundtable

We don't have to tell you.
You know that farming is a fast-paced industry and keeping up with changes could be a full time job in itself. That's why Illinois Farm Bureau actively seeks out information to share with members and why IFB recently sponsored the bi-annual Illinois Agricultural Legislative Roundtable (IALR).

IALR is a platform for farm organizations, universities, agribusinesses, and government agencies to discuss issues facing Illinois farmers. Approximately 110 men and women, representing farm organizations throughout the state, met and shared what they know. Not only will IFB take what it learned to be better prepared for future trends, but it is also happy to share the updates with you. 

• University Updates -- Dr. Bob Hauser, College of ACES, University of Illinois
• KIC (Keep It for the Crop) Update -- Jean Payne, Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association
• Nutrient Management -- Dan Schaefer, Council on Best Management Practices
• Illinois Farm Families Update -- Tricia Braid, Illinois Corn Growers Association, and Carla Mudd, Illinois Farm Bureau
• Child Farm Labor Rule Impact -- Jim Craft, Illinois FFA
• State Budget Update -- Tom Johnson, Taxpayers' Federation of Illinois

The next IALR meeting is scheduled for June.
