Farmers Feed US Sweepstakes Background
For 90 days, beginning in July 2011, residents from across Illinois registered online for a chance to win free groceries for a year. While doing so, they also had the opportunity to meet five Illinois family farmers and take a video tour of their farms. Each video explained how the farmers produce safe, healthy food for Illinois consumers.

"Throughout the sweepstakes, it was great to see the interest that consumers showed in the Illinois farmers who raise their food," said Deb Moore, a Roseville soybean farmer who was featured during the sweepstakes. "And as Illinois farmers, we're proud to showcase our farms, sharing how we raise the food that consumers eat, while also introducing them to our families."
