Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom

Illinois Farm Bureau's IAITC offers resources and training to teachers who are excited to teach students where their food comes from, and to incorporate new, exciting lesson plans into their curriculum. Last year, IAITC:

  • Reached 468,000 students in Illinois
  • Gave FREE materials to 28,000 teachers
  • Taught 1700 pre-service teachers
  • Awarded $13,000 in grants to 56 teachers across the state

Supporting Ag Teachers

Even though 1 in 4 people in Illinois work in the agriculture industry, too often this education is hurting or even non-existent in many of our state schools. IFB's Youth Education program works closely with agriculture teachers to provide high school students with learning experiences that really make a difference, like competitions, trips to Washington D.C., and scholarships.

Supporting All Public Education

Illinois Farm Bureau does much more for education than the AITC program. IFB has been a forerunner in the fight for fair education funding. From building awareness to talking with legislators, Illinois Farm Bureau has worked diligently for education funding reform.

Partners in Education

It takes a village, right? That's why Illinois Farm Bureau has developed partnerships to help give our students the competitive edge that they need in today's global economy.
