Leading on environmental issues continues to be an Illinois Farm Bureau priority for members, and the 2020-21 Environmental Report shares progress made so far and outlines some future goals to achieve.
The IFB Board of Directors remains committed to setting environmental action as an organizational priority, following through by continually committing significant resources to do the job.
IFB has expanded its work on the Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy (NLRS) in education and outreach to farmers, landowners and the general public; supporting research of best management practices to reduce nutrient loss from agricultural fields; supporting farmer implementation efforts across the state; and demonstrating progress toward the long-term goals of the NLRS.
IFB has also continued to make environmental education for livestock farmer members a priority, as well as several other key areas.
To learn more about the progress made, visit IFB's website to read the new, 20-page Environmental Report.
