The IAA Foundation, Illinois Farm Bureau’s charitable arm, encourages agriculture students and Illinois Farm Bureau families to apply for 76 college scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $7,500 annually. A total of $144,800 will be awarded for the 2018-19 school year. The application deadline is Feb. 1.

“We are pleased to help students through our growing scholarship program,” said Susan Moore, IAA Foundation director. “It is a great privilege to support the next generation of leaders and encourage continuing education in agricultural fields.”

The scholarships include three IAA Foundation Top Scholarships that awards each recipient $5,000. The Illinois Farm Bureau Legacy of Leadership scholarship recipient will receive $7,500.

In addition to family scholarships often established to honor loved ones, the IAA Foundation offers scholarships on behalf of such organizations as Prairie Farms Dairy and the Illinois Soybean Association.

Eligible applicants must be high school seniors who have been accepted into or students already enrolled at an accredited college, university or community college. Scholarships are awarded for exceptional academic ability, leadership and financial need. Previous recipients of an IAA Foundation scholarship may apply again.
