Dicamba training will once again be required for anyone applying the product in 2020.
Training sessions begin at 2 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the DoubleTree in Mount Vernon and Dec. 13 at the Holiday Inn in Champaign. These dicamba trainings will begin after regularly scheduled U of I Extension training and testing clinics.

The dicamba training requirement was included in federal label restrictions issued earlier this year. In addition to the classroom training, registrants will provide their own trainings, webinars and online trainings, all of which have been approved by Illinois Department of Agriculture.
Under federal provisions of the dicamba label, a certified applicator, either private or commercial, must complete dicamba training prior to applying the products to soybeans or any other crops listed on the label.
