Managing the Issues
This past week, Illinois Farm Bureau News & Communications team was instrumental in live-streaming the Illinois Ag Legislative Roundtable candidate forum. Our media relations team also led the press tent following each of the candidates 45-minute presentation and Q/A.
What is most interesting for our team was the tremendous attention this event was able to draw for media outlets. WLS/ABC TV brought a satellite truck down to cover the event and Blue Room assisting our video team with providing the live feed to stations, newspapers, and radio across the state. It’s important to keep in mind as county leaders and staff the level of expertise our division is able to provide in helping share the news of Illinois agriculture.
