From the President:

See below for a list of ways IFB has provided value to our members in November. I encourage you to use this as a tool to help recruit and retain members.

  • Farm Bureau groups across the country joined with others from the agriculture industry to encourage congressional intervention in the ongoing railroad labor dispute. More than 1,300 IFB members responded to an action request.
  • Under a new travel benefit program, IFB members can save up to 30% at over 800,000 hotels.  Visit ILFB.travelsherlock.com and use Code: Member to access your benefit savings.
  • A letter from the American Farm Bureau Federation to the White House called on the administration to explore all options related to boosting production and lowering prices for diesel fuel.
  • Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom named Eva Manzke, a teacher at Walker Elementary School in Bedford Park, as its teacher of the year. She was recognized Sunday at IFB’s Annual Meeting in Chicago.
  • IFB submitted comments to the Environmental Protection Agency, calling for the withdrawal of a proposed rule impacting per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. The proposal would have severe consequences for farmers, the comments stated.
