IAA Foundation awards Driving Agriculture Forward Scholarships

Five individuals can count on support for truck driver training classes through the Driving Agriculture Forward Scholarships administered by the IAA Foundation and funded by Illinois Farm Bureau. In 2023, each scholarship is generously being doubled thanks to support from the Illinois Soybean Association.

In total, the IAA Foundation will award $40,000 this year to offset the cost of commercial truck driver training and to help ensure more well-trained, safe drivers are available.

The second group of recipients this year includes Kolby Forlines of Shelby County, Adin Koch of Schuyler County, Jacob Magna of Whiteside County, Logan Hammann of Macoupin County, and Andrew Hinrichs of Ogle County.

Applications are available year-round with consideration deadlines occurring quarterly. The next application deadline is September 30, which correlates with drivers who intend to enroll in training at an Illinois Community College between October 1 and December 31.

Full eligibility guidelines and the link to apply is available on the Foundation website, www.iaafoundation.org.
