Environmental Stewardship Grant Program 2023 Application Cycle

Last week, the environmental team announced the 2023 application cycle for the Environmental Stewardship Grant Programs. The IFB Board of Directors again committed $150,000 to the Nutrient Stewardship Grant Program and $25,000 to the Pollinator Conservation Grant Program. These programs directly support County Farm Bureau and farmer-led projects that allow our members to lead the direction and outcomes, encouraging them to answer their own questions about many environmental topics. The environmental team will serve as partners on projects and can assist with project management and subject matter expertise.

The deadline for County Farm Bureaus to submit applications and budget worksheets is Friday, October 28th, 2022 at 4:30 pm. The online applications can be found at these links:

County Farm Bureau staff and leaders are encouraged to also watch a GAC Briefing recorded by Lauren Lurkins and Raelynn Parmely, which covers background about the programs as well as advice for applicants. The recording can be found on the GAC Briefing Videos playlist, which County Farm Bureau Managers can find on the Leaders’ Portal. Please contact Raelynn Parmely at rparmely@ilfb.org for additional information and to discuss potential project ideas.
